34 Gigabytes of information, per day.

The latest report to come out about our use of the internet and digital media to consume information by the University of California, San Diego reports that each day, Americans consume 34 gigabytes of information. That adds up to about 3.6 zettabytes for the whole population of the USA.

The type of information consumed is (still) mainly television, although the one-way type of information of TV compared with the two-way interaction of computer is has a different impact on the information transmission between the medium and person.
